J.K. Rowling Talks About Reporters Putting Notes In Daughter’s Schoolbag!

Yesterday during a U.K. media ethics inquiry, ‘Harry Potter’ author J.K. Rowling recounted the terrifying time she went through as she rose to fame and was hounded relentlessly by the press.  They even went so far as to put a note in her 5-year-old daughter’s backpack!

“It feels threatening to have people watching you.  I felt such a sense of invasion.  It’s very difficult to say how angry I felt that my 5-year-old daughter’s school was no longer a place of complete security from journalists. like being under siege and like being a hostage.”

The hearings are listening to stories and allegations of media malpractice and invasion of privacy that have wen far beyond just the News of the World.
