When Kate Winslet won an Emmy for Lead Actress in a Miniseries or Movie for her role in Mildred Pierce, Kate was quick to thanks her mom.
“Mildred Pierce was capable of great acts of love as a mother but she was an extraordinary multi-tasker,” Kate told the audience. Adding, “I actually do have to share this with my mom. It doesn’t matter how old you are or what you do in your life. You never stop needing your mom. And I will never stop needing mine. So thanks mom!”
