Get A Jump Start On Learning With The Pre-K Success Kit

As someone who has volunteered in 4K and Kindergarten classrooms for many years, I can’t begin to tell you the number of kids who come in lacking basic fine motor skills.  You think “oh it’s cutting on a line – that should be simple for any child”, but the reality is that many kids have never even been taught how to hold a pair of scissors.

This spring a new company launched an innovative new product called the Pre-K Success Kit.  The kit may look like some school supplies packaged up in a cute container, but really the kit is SO much more than that.  The one-of-kind kit includes 14 play-based fine motor skills tools, as well as a teaching guide with over 60 progressive activities.  The kit encourages fine motor skill development, school readiness, confidence through repetition, organizational thinking, creative use of materials, adult interaction with child, opportunities for praise, enthusiasm for school, a sense of achievement, focused attention, development of self-esteem, and emotional and academic success.

Founder Denise Finnerty shared:

The kit was created with the expertise of occupational therapists and early childhood educators to meet the varying needs of children according to their unique developmental abilities. There are over 60 fun, engaging activities for your child to experience and master with the help and encouragement of a parent/adult.  Each fine motor skill “tool” included in this Pre-K Success Kit will aid in the development of small hand muscles and the coordination of small muscle movement.
