Carla Bruni-Sarkozy Says We Won’t Be Seeing Photos Of Baby #2

France’s First Lady, Carla Bruni-Sarkozy has finally opened up about expecting baby #2 with her husband, French president Nicolas Sarkozy, and shares that she’s planning to protect this baby from the media.

“You don’t have a child for the [photo] gallery. I understand the media interest, and I don’t see any inconvenience in it for myself or my husband, but when it concerns the children, it’s not impossible. I will do everything to protect this infant, and I’ll be absolutely rigorous. I will never show photos of this child. I will never expose this child.”

Carla’s son Aurelian, 11, was photographed once when she was first dating President Sarkozy and they visited the archeological site at Petra in Jordan, a move she deeply regrets:

“My eldest son was exposed once, not in a public situation but in a private one, and it was a great error. I should never have taken my son to visit this magnificent site. I should have foreseen there would be photographers.”

So, we might hear the news when the baby is born, but don’t hold your breath for any family photos….

Oh honestly, that is just ridiculous. You don’t need to do photo shoots, or use your kids as publicity props, but to deny them the opportunity to see monuments and wonders of the world because there will be photographers there? That’s really overboard. What’s going to be worse for them in the long run, or even the short term? Having their pictures taken when they’re out in public, or being hidden from sight and kept away from any experience outside their garden walls? Poor kids.
