For many celebrities, it’s often hard to leave your house without being bombarded by the paparazzi. And those pesky photographers can often make one feel like a prisoner to the world. But Matt Damon says he is lucky to not be one of them.
“I have friends who are like prisoners. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, for instance. They can’t just go someplace. If they go for a walk, it turns into an international incident,” says Matt, who is dad to girls Alexia, 12, Isabella, 5, Gia, 2 1/2, and Stella, 9 months. “I’m really lucky, because I have the best of both worlds. I do the work that I love and need, but don’t need paramilitary troops to protect me when I walk out my front door.”
And Matt reveals that his life revolves more around family these days than it does with fame. “Ever since I found my wife [Luciana] and we had children, my whole life revolves around that. It gave my life a dramatic change in direction.”
