Rod Stewart is struggling to stay awake after becoming a dad for the eighth time, admitting caring for a newborn at the age of 66 is “exhausting”.
The singer and his wife Penny Lancaster welcomed son Aiden into the world last month (Feb11), and the rocker insists he has been losing sleep looking after his new addition. He tells Britain’s Daily Express,
“Penny and the baby are doing just fine. Penny’s recovering well. At my age, a new baby is bl**dy exhausting, it doesn’t stop but I’m very lucky and proud to have had this happen in my life. Knackered or not, Aiden is a beautiful little boy.”
The baby boy is a brother for Stewart and Lancaster’s other son, five-year-old Alistair.
The singer has six other kids from previous relationships.
