Adele Would Have Been A Teen Mom Without Stage School

British singer Adele is thankful she went to a performing arts school because she would have ended up as a teenage mother otherwise.

The Rolling in the Deep hitmaker enrolled with The Brit School in Croydon, London, alongside other stars including Jessie J and Kate Nash, and has gone on to carve international success with her albums 19 and 21.  Adele is adamant her time at the facility inspired her to fulfill her ambitions and prevented her from getting pregnant in her teens.  She tells Britain’s News of the World,

“I hate to think where I’d have ended up if I hadn’t gone to The Brit School. It’s quite inspiring to be around 700 kids who want to be something – rather than 700 kids who just wanna get pregnant so they get their own flat (apartment).

“My first school was great but I’d have a kid by now if I hadn’t left. And, as much as I’d like to have a kid, I’m not ready for one now. I remember wanting to go to (the) Sylvia Young Theatre School because Baby Spice (Emma Bunton) went there but my mum couldn’t afford it.

“I didn’t have some rich daddy who built me a studio. But I loved The Brit School. It was a bit like Fame sometimes – you get people doing their ballet stretches and singers having sing-offs.”
