Nicole Kidman opened up to Australia’s “60 Minutes” about her struggle with infertility.
Anyone that’s been in the place of wanting another child or wanting a child knows the disappointment, the pain and the loss that you go through trying and struggling with fertility. Fertility is such a big thing, and it’s not something I’ve ever run away from talking about.”
Nicole and ex-husband Tom Cruise adopted two children during their marriage, Isabella and Connor; and she now shares two daughters, Sunday and Faith, with husband Keith Urban. She carried and gave birth to Sunday Rose and explains why she turned to a surrogate for daughter Faith Margaret:
“We were in a place of desperately wanting another child,” she says. “This opportunity arose for us, and I couldn’t get pregnant.”
The mom of four says she loves all of her kids madly:
“Children are children – you’ll die for your children,” she says. “And when you feel that as parent – that’s the unconditional love.”
I couldn’t resist this old photo of Nicole and daughter Isabella taken back in 1998 – so cute!
