Amy Adams Credits Newborn Daughter For Helping Her Play A Drug Addict

Amy Adams gave birth to daughter Aviana in May and started filming “On The Road” just a few months later.  The new mom says that being sleep deprived helped her to play the role of drug addict Jane.  She tells Chelsea Handler:

“I couldn’t (do) method (acting) because I have a baby! When you have a baby and you haven’t slept… I was doing nights by myself so I kind of felt like a drug addict anyway.

“I was all strung out – I just went with it. I was exhausted and nursing. I was just a mess.”

Have you read “On the Road” by Jack Kerouac?  Are you looking forward to the movie version? The cast features Kristen Stewart, Kirsten Dunst, Garrett Hedlund, and more.  I’m curious to see how it translates on the big screen.
