It’s not easy bringing families together involving step-parents and step-children – and that’s why Gisele Bundchen feels “very lucky” that her son and step-son get along so well.
The supermodel who has 11-month-old Benjamin with husband Tom Brady, sees how her son is in admiration of his older step-brother Jack – the child of Tom and his former lover Bridget Moynahan. She said:
“I’m feeling very lucky. For Benjamin, his big brother is his hero. Jack comes in and Benjamin has a big smile. He wants to follow him around. Anything he does, he’s just in awe of him like, ‘Oh my God!’ “
However, three-year-old Jack didn’t have such an easy time initially warming up to his younger brother. Jack was used to being the center of attention, and struggled a bit to adjust to having another child in the household. Gisele revealed to People magazine:
“Sometimes siblings can get in each other’s space. He was used to having all the attention and then when you have to share, you don’t like it. Overall they really get along and I’m very lucky.”
“He’s amazing with Benjamin and he’s the sweetest kid.”
Feeling lucky thus far with the relationship of the children, Gisele is already starting to plan to have more kids – but not anytime soon. It could be because Gisele herself comes from a fairly large family having five sisters.
“I want more kids for sure but I don’t know when. Right now I have my hands full!”
