Padma Lakshmi Starts Her Daughter’s Eating Habits Off Right

“Top Chef” host Padma Lakshmi has daughter Krishna, 10 months, off to a good start with healthy eating.  She shared:

I make all her baby food, homemade,”

We just make lentils, rice and kale. She loves kale, loves cumin. She eats carrots, sweet potatoes, and a little onion. She eats great — there is nothing she won’t eat.”

Padma says many of her recipes have been handed down from her mother:

“My mom taught me how to make all kind of vegetables, stews, pilafs and curries, obviously.”

She also shared that Krishna is:

“She’s crawling, waving and clapping.”

It’s so good to introduce kids to a variety of healthy foods – start them down the right path right away!

Twitter madness…Sweet Tweet day today to ring out the old year.  Dean McDermott is looking good in that kitchen! What can I say, I love this stuff. It’s actual, real life. And I still love this family.

Nice work, Dean.  Dad macked out a nice meal for the kids, knocking little Liam out.  TKO!

Brooke Burke Sweet Tweeting The Loss Of The Tooth Fairy

The fabulously stunning @Brooke Burke tweeted about the trials and tribulations of your kids growing up.  They chip away slowly but surely, here taking the Tooth Fairy away from mom…ouch.  If it’s not already gone, Santa is not too far away, and that would be a terribly sad day, at least for me. As a side note, is it general inflation or being a celebrity’s kid, but $5 for a tooth now?? Wow. I can’t wait until I’m 85. Man, I’ll be rich!

I’m so sad… My 10 yr old doesn’t believe in the Tooth Fairy anymore. Just cashed in her molar for $5

Real Kelly Bensimon Sweet Tweets: Memory Chair Love

Kelly Bensimon (@kikilet) of Real Housewives of New York fame has been Sweet Tweeting like mad it seems.  Kelly has some great shots here.  I am particularly fond of the memory chair made from Pier 1 chair, glue gun, and my girls old stuffed animals, above.  I think it’s very thoughtful, touching, and sweet.  They grow so fast, it’s a bit sickening, but life moves on.  This is a great way to keep some of the memories alive in a very fun and unique way.

The gorgeous mom was the third wife of French fashion photographer Gilles Bensimon. The couple have two daughters: Sea Louise Bensimon (born 1998) and Thaddeus Ann “Teddy” Bensimon (born 2000). The couple divorced in July 2007.

Michelle Williams Wants Daughter To Watch Brokeback Mountain

Michelle Williams plans to watch Brokeback Mountain with her daughter by Heath Ledger – so her little girl can see the film which brought her parents together.

The actress met her late ex-fiance Ledger on the set of the cowboy drama in 2004 and they went on to welcome Matilda the following year (05).  The couple parted ways in 2007 and a year later (08), the actor died of an accidental overdose in his New York City apartment.  Williams has since raised Matilda on her own, but she hopes to share the film with her daughter so the youngster can see her parents together.  She tells Angeleno Magazine,

“What does that movie (Brokeback Mountain) mean to me? That movie is many, many things… It is a piece of cinema history and I happen to be involved in it. There’ve been a few films that I have been so transported by the filmmaking that I couldn’t focus… I felt like I got really close to the thing that I wanted to do and I was very proud… to be associated with it.

“I was just an actor who happened to be lucky enough to be in the right place, and it was the place where I met Matilda’s father, and that is a lot. It was a lot. And it will be a lot for Matilda too, when she gets around to watching it.

“I will watch it with her, when she’s ready. It is hard to imagine what that would feel like, but one day, yes, we will watch it together.”

I have a feeling it might be hard, awkward, and quite emotional for the two of them.
