Cher & Sonny Bono

Why would any kid have an identity crisis and want to become a man? Seriously, having these issues must be terrible. Hopefully after the dust settles, he’ll actually be able to live a happy life. From ChazBono.net’s Biography:

The only child of famed entertainers Sonny and Cher, Chaz Bono is an LGBT rights advocate, author, and speaker. Chaz recently began gender transition in the public eye, where he continues to impact change and create awareness and visibility for this cause.

Although Chaz came out as a lesbian to his parents at 18-years-old in 1987, he did not publicly come out until April 1995 in an interview with The Advocate, the national gay and lesbian news magazine. Chaz’ decision to come out prompted his public work in support of LGBT rights and social justice. Chaz contributed as a writer-at-large to The Advocate, and shortly thereafter became the spokesperson for the Human Rights Campaign, promoting National Coming Out Day. Chaz also served as Entertainment Media Director for the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD), working behind the scenes with shows like Ellen and Will and Grace, and on films including The Jackal.

I’m not judgmental, nor do I any ill-will towards Mr. Bono. I was simply talking about the person. I also threw in a little joke at Cher since I do feel that maybe she shouldn’t be walking around in catsuits at her age. As far as fact checking, I never claimed to be reporting a full, all-inclusive accounting of people and their kids. This is the name I chose for this post. I appreciate all the feedback, though.

Cher also has a son (born a son) named Elijah Blu. You seem to be posting more but with haphazard fact-checking.

And I agree with the first poster – you’re also coming across as judgemental. “Why would any kid have an identity crisis and want to become a man” I don’t think it is something that was on Chaz’s bucket list. Nobdy “wants” to have this happen it’s a GENETIC thing. Like brown hair or what have you.

i think you are rather compassionate in recognizing that having those issues must be terrible. I don’t see any judgement here. I am sure if you asked him, he would agree that it sucks to not feel ‘right’ in your own skin.

It’s called walk a mile in someone else’s shoes, which most of us can’t do. Why not just leave the subject alone if you have to breech the topic so abruptly?
