Who cares what they are wearing?

    They seem very happy!

Some of you people need to take a look in the mirror.

I’m sure what you see will NOT be a pretty sight!

  2. Duh! says

I mean that’s what this site is for! Gossip… Comments… It’s what makes it interesting. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion Renee. The stars may not care but they expect it from the minions like us who enjoy to read about them and see their pictures!

  3. Renee says

There is no happy meduim on this board. Posh wears her shoes to high, Jen’s pants are ugly, Katie shoes are to expensive. Suri wears to many dresses, Shiloh wears boys cloths, Violet doesn’t match. To bad the paps don’t follow the parents on here around. It would be funny to see how your kids look and what everyone on here wears. To funny. I don’t really think these stars give a rats butt what eveyone on here thinks.

  4. DMITZ says

Ok I’m going to go out on a limb here and if someone doesn’t agree with me – tough.

This is one of my favorite celeb families. Jennifer seems like such a hands-on mom. I love that she is always getting her hands dirty and playing with Violet at the park. I can’t understand why Victoria Beckham wears 5″ heels to take her kids anywhere. I can’t even walk around in my 2.5″ heels after work to take my kids to the mailbox!

I love that Jennifer lets Violet eat messy and do what kids should do – have fun!

But I admit that when I see pictures like this my 1st thought is “Can’t Jennifer find a more attractive pair of pants?” Her friend is sporting a cute “yoga” look and that is comfortable and tasteful IMO. Jennifer’s pants do make her look frumpy and they look a bit masculine. I’m not saying I have the energy all the time to get “glammed up” when I take my kids out and about but there are ways to make yourself look a bit more feminine or at least look like you care about your appearance.

As for Violet – if she does pick out her own clothes I think that’s adorable; however I think Jennifer should put more effort into making sure Violet matches. When we are in a hurry to get out of the house, my daughter might have some flip flops that don’t match or maybe her outfit would have look better with some crocs then the tennis shoes but no matter how rushed I am I don’t think I’ve let my kids out of the house wearing 3 different colors and bright red shoes! I think little girls are SO fun to dress and sometimes Violet looks very cute but sometimes she looks like someone dressed her in the dark.

Who said anything about getting all dressed up and/or wearing dresses or getting their hair done? I never said that. I just said that the clothes they are wearing are always wrinkled and never match. You can wear comfortable and casual clothing without looking like a rag all the time and these two always look like that.

another DRESS-DOWN jennifer..or should i say always??..i know she’s the one choosing the clothes for her daughter..and if anyone says that her time with her daughter is important, i also agree but choosing nice clothes wont be a hindrance for quality time

I agree with commenter 3 and 4. Violet Affleck looks
adorable and just like a kid should look. Why dress up
in a $500 outfit when you will have icecream and run and jump and play. Look at how happy she is. That says it all.
And I know she has great clothes when the occasion
calls for it. I live in Boston, and that is a typical Cambridge
look. And who knows the pants may be from Juicy
Couture if that will quiet the naysayers. Besides, sometimes the richer the person, the less they care about
    phony looks. Trust me!
And give them a break, they are just hanging out. It’s the
photographers fault for catching them when they just want to be out and about like normal people.

J looks great, shes managed to loose the baby tum. I adore this family they are so down to earth and real. I cant stand the fake celebrity families who put a show on for the media.

  9. bj's mom says

I would much rather see Jen and Violet looking like this than Posh Spice at the park with her boys looking all diva in high heels and crap. There is a time and place for that…Jen is beautiful and looks stunning when she dresses up, but is a normal “mom” the rest of the time. I think its great!!!!

  10. Janie says

Some of you people on this website need to get a life.

I imagine that NONE of you are beauty queens!

  11. Dnice says

She is out ripping and running taking care of the girls all day. Why should she dress up for that? Did anyone stop to think that as celebrities they are constantly having to worry about not wearing the same thing as another celeb, keeping hair and make-up done, and keeping their bodies together. If I had her money I would be dressing the same way. Comfortable. Glitz and glamour is a catch 22. I wouldn’t want to have to be “on” all the time. Give her a break.

  12. Laura says

Meeeeow!! What kind of catty people are making comments about how a toddler and her mother are dressed? Do you force your child to wear carefully coordinated outfits 7 days a week? Do you style your hair, apply your makeup, and put on a “cute flowing dress” every time you leave the house? I certainly don’t, and that is not a reflection of who I am as a human being. Furthermore, I’ll go out on a limb here and guess that the same people criticizing the way Jennifer and Violet are dressed, would also complain if Jennifer spent the day with a stylist and personal shopper while a nanny looked after Violet. I look at this picture and see 2 women and a happy kid enjoying a stroll outdoors on a nice day. End of story.

  13. LuLu says

It doesn’t help the fact that her pants STILL make her look dumpy. She could try a cute flowing comfy dress.

  14. midge says

They are out for coffee with friends. Who cares what either of them are wearing? Jennifer’s pants look comfortable. She spends time with her children, which is more than so many mothers do (celebrity or otherwise), and that is what matters – not what they have on. Violet is a cutie, and I love Jennifer.

  15. Maybe says

Everyone is just guessing that Violet is choosing her own clothes. When I was that age (3), I wore what my mother told me to wear. And the fact that Jennifer is never neatly dressed either leads me to believe that she in fact is the one picking out the clothing.

  16. Wow! says

I think Violet is that phase where they want to choose their own clothes and that is a fight everyday, especially when they decide they have to have that green t-shirt with red shorts or something like that. And you don’t want to discuss the same everyday and you just give up and put the chosen clothes on… I think Jennifer Gardner always look very relaxed in her clothing, a bit too relax very often, but that must be her taste. But I also think she (and husband of course) are great parents.

  17. ? says

I said it once before and I’ll say it again – this kid always looks disheveled. Her clothes never match, clothes are wrinkled, her underwear is always hanging out etc. She always looks like a rag doll.
