Louise and Jamie Redknapp joyfully introduce their son to the world in Hello magazine!
Louise became pregnant with five-week-old Beau Henry just a month after the couple decided to expand their family, despite her battle against the painful condition endometriosis, which can cause infertility. It took four years for Louise and Jamie to conceive their first son.
Beau was born on November 10th at London’s private Portland Hospital, weighing in at 7lb 6oz.
Louise, 34, said: “Because it all happened so fast this time round, this past year has just felt like a bit of a whirlwind. Never in a million years did I think that I would be sitting here now, gazing at my five-week-old baby. By this stage, I guess I assumed we would be thinking, “Right, it’s not happening, so what are we going to do? Are we going to go down the same route we went down before?””
“So, yes, it’s been an amazing year for us.”
Jamie added: “I look at him and it just melts my heart. I really didn’t want Charley (their 4-year-old son) to be an only child. I’m so close to my brother Mark, who’s three years older than me, and I really wanted Charley to have that. Now that Beau is here, it feels like we’re a proper unit, the four of us.”
And Louise says she feels blessed to have her son.
“Touch wood, so far Beau has been a really easy baby,” she said. “He sleeps and feeds pretty well and he seems really calm and contented. We’ve been so lucky.”
