yes, i enjoyed thanksgiving a lot, the 11 years we lived in california. i tried to do thanksgiving for us after we moved back to switzerland. but it was to hard to find all the ingredients for a real thanksgivin meal.
altough i love christmas, the nice thing about thanksgiving is everybody getting together without it revolving around presents.
i guess, thanksgiving is kind of like your sizde-bedar. lot’s of food, family and friends.

she doesn’t seem to be really connected to zuma. he’s just kind of there. there is not one picture where she embraces him or even has eye contact and they she’s holding him while walking is weird.

kingston was worn a lot in the sling, having close body-contact with mom. i have not seen a pic of zuma in the sling yet.

  6. ds says

is it just me or does gwen seem very detached in these pictures.
i remember her wearing kingston in a sling all the time, hugging and kissing him. i have not seen a pic of her with zuma like that.
maybe she was just tired that day. having two little kids is tough, i know.

    anyways, i love this family.

niloofar, here is the explanation of thanksgiving from wikipedia.
in my experince it is a holiday as big a christmas, without the presents. family get together to watch football and eat huge turkeys stuffing and such.
it’s always the last thursday in novemeber and on friday a lot of family go get their christmas trees.
i enjoyed thanksgiving a lot while i lived in the states.

Thanksgiving Day is a harvest festival. Traditionally, it is a time to give thanks for the harvest and express gratitude in general. It is primarily a North American holiday which has generally become a national secular holiday with religious origins.

The date and location of the first Thanksgiving celebration is a topic of modest contention. Though the earliest attested Thanksgiving celebration was on September 8, 1565 in what is now Saint Augustine, Florida[1][2], the traditional “first Thanksgiving” is venerated as having occurred at the site of Plymouth Plantation, in 1621.

Today, Thanksgiving is celebrated on the second Monday of October in Canada and on the fourth Thursday of November in the United States. Thanksgiving dinner is held on this day, usually as a gathering of family members and friends.

everybody, I’m an Iranian, and I don’t know what is thankgiving!!!! please tell me…….

I’m a big fan of Gwen… and I like her kids they are so cute.

  9. Georgia says

Wow Zuma looks exactly like Gavin! I cant undersand when people say that Kingston looks like Gav, he is the image of his mother but just has Gav’s coloring. What a gorgeous family, Gwen doesnt look too happy that the papparazzi are there with them.

  10. Josie says

2teens – yes, we do celebrate Thanksgiving but it is in October. That is when our harvest season is. November is just too cold to find anything coming out of the ground worth picking. Us folks in the North also do the roast turkey or glazed ham and stuffing, cranberry sauce, sweet potatoes or mashed potatoes, brussel sprouts, gravy, pumpkin pie, etc…I eat everything except the meat 😉

eeek Christmas! I’m not a huge fan of that celebration. There’s too much emphasis on shopping and eating till you pop LOL! It’s good to see family and spend some time with people that you don’t normally get to see but the commercialism of the season is too much for me!

  11. Lurker says

This family is just so cute! :o)

And I agree with #9–Kingston, IMO, has always been a very pretty boy. But, look at his daddy… ;o)~

But anyway, I actually think I see some of Gwen in Zuma.
I have seen a side by side comparison of he and Kingston, and they do look similar, but I still just see Gavin in Kingston, whereas I think I see more Gwen in Zuma’s face.

  12. 2teens says

Hey Josie, yes it was a day of overindulgence as usual. And we get to do it all again at Christmas. It’s always fun though, and good to get together with family. Do you have a Canadian Thanksgiving?
I agree, I don’t think Zuma looks at all like Kingston. I remember Kingston as having dark hair at that age, and not as chubby. But I have always thought Kingston was a very pretty boy.

  13. onatear says

Oh, Little “Toodles”, Zuma, looks so much like Kingston! What an adorable family. They look like such natural, caring, relaxed-with-the-kids parents. LOVE it!!

  14. Josie says

hi 2teens, how was your Thanksgiving? Are you feeling sleepy from all the turkey consumption? LOL

I think Zuma is adorable. He has a perfect round head and a plump little body. I have never been a fan of Kingston though. Not even when he was an infant. I do not think that Zuma looks like Kingston when K was his age.

  15. accalia says

Zuma’s cheeks are so chubby! I want to pinch them. He looks exactly like Gwen’s father. He looks a bit older than 3 months to me and he looks very alert for his age. Kingston is adorable as ever.
