Former Coronation Street star Tina O’Brien and her former co-star, boyfriend Ryan Thomas, welcomed a baby girl on Sunday morning.
Tina, 25, gave birth to the 7lbs 1oz tot in a Manchester Hospital after reportedly jumping on a trampoline in an attempt to induce labor.
A friend of the couple told The Sun: “She was desperate to hold her little girl and tried out all the tips to induce the birth. They are so pleased and relieved. Both mother and baby are doing very well. They haven’t told anyone the name yet and are keeping ideas close to their chests.”
The couple admitted that the pregnancy wasn’t planned, but they were ‘bubbling with excitement’ over the Tina’s pregnancy.
She told OK! magazine earlier this year: “When I first took the pregnancy test and it came up positive it was a massive shock. But suddenly I was like, “God, I have to make sure it’s okay.” I’d even been drinking loads before!””
Ryan added: “When we first found out, we did think, are we ready? But all I know is I want to be with Tina for the rest of my life and Tina hopefully wants to be with me for the rest of her life and we definitely want to have a baby together.”
Meanwhile, Tina’s on-screen brother Jack P Shepherd, 20, is also preparing to become a father. Jack’s girlfriend Lauren Shippy is expecting their first child in February.
