The Sun reports:
Brandon Flowers, may I be the first to congratulate you because Somebody Told Me you’re having a baby . . .
Yes, The Killers frontman is expecting his first child with wife Tana in July.
And I can reveal they already know their first-born is going to be a boy.
I hear the happy couple, who married in Hawaii two years ago and have been desperate for a little soldier, are thrilled.
Smiling like he meant it, the flamboyant star was spotted taking time out backstage at the band’s New York gig in Madison Square Garden to fuss over his pregnant missus.
My source said: “Brandon was busy rubbing his pregnant wife’s belly.
“He’s smitten, especially because it’s a boy.
“It’s going to be a Brandon Junior, I’m sure.”
The clean-living singer has been getting clucky for a while now.
He said in a recent interview: “I’m 25 now and so many things have happened.
“I’m married, I want to have kids and I feel this album (Sam’s Town) is a great interpretation of what’s happened up until now. Kids are planned for soon — we just don’t want to have them while I’m on the road.”
The Killers are currently on tour in the US and will be in the UK to play Glastonbury in June, T In The Park in July and again for V in August.
Let’s hope Tana, a teacher, doesn’t pop while he’s on stage.
I imagine the practising Mormon and dedicated family man will call the lad something nice and normal, if his songs are anything to go by. Andy, Sam, Jonny — just not Jenny please.
The Las Vegas-born singer is the youngest of six, so I’d imagine he will want more than one baby.
I guess this baby stuff reminds you of When You Were Young, Brandon.
