Gorgeous Julianne Moore, 46, is on the cover of the February issue of Allure magazine. She is also interviewed and talks about motherhood. Her son, Cal is 9 and her daughter, Liv is 4.
The following is an excerpt:
“Family” is a word that Moore keeps coming back to, much more than any discussion of her career. She waited to have her children later in life rather than when she was in her 20s and presumably more wrapped up in her success. “But I didn’t have them for any reasons like that,” she says. “I had them as soon as I met the man I wanted to have children with.” Moore was married the first two times for more than a dcade of those child-bearing years. So why did she marry men with whom she didn’t want to have children? Moore uncurls her leg, plops it on the coffee table next to her laptop, and gives a rueful laugh. “Well, that’s interesting, isn’t it?” she says. “You don’t always know that kind of stuff, but you’re right. When you’re in your 20s, I think it’s very difficult to really know what you want. You’re just reacting most of the time. It’s very, very difficult to have children early in life. My parents had children when they were 20 and 19. That’s insane! I was telling someone the other night that when I was old enough to leave home, my mother was only 38. I was around 38 when I had my first child.”
And Julianne and Liv are so cute!
